Out By The Lake - August 7, 2014

I spent a few days with my Dad and Cam in the town where they live by a giant lake.

I had a lot of time to myself and did a lot of writing (all getting posted on these blogs) and errands and cooking.

This habit I have of cooking for everyone when I do home visits is so reminscent of my youth and when I cooked and baked for everyone all the time; it's relaxing and fun.

Crash says that this is both a good and bad thing because after I go home to the City and then return to the north to be with Mom, Sam, and everyone else again that they won't have someone to cook for them and will have to fend for themselves once more; the food I made was apparently scrumptious!  I am glad that I pleased their palates.

The weather has been unkind to me...

When we travelled to old Lake town after leaving Mom, our grandparents and everyone, the drive was a HOT one.  The weather has been so hot, and dry that the only cool off I got on the trip was from open windows and staring at the fields and lakes and animals.  Then when we had to wait for a very long train to go by about halfway through our trip it made things feel even hotter.  I am so grateful I donated my hair back in June and that my hair is JUST past my ears, it has been great for keeping my neck, face and shoulders cool! AAAH!

It remained hot, and it is suppose to stay that way.

Fortunately for me the City had a huge storm, and, there will be more rain, and, I am heading back there.
